Juicy Roasted Chicken Recipe
A couple of simple ingredients with no-fuss prep make a roast chicken that many swear is the juiciest they've ever eaten.
Nothing combines easy and elegant like a well-roasted chicken. These rave-worthy roast chicken recipes make dinner simply special.
Grandmother's traditional roast chicken just got healthier by adding more vegetables, using butter instead of margarine, and leaving out the powdered seasoning.
Lots of butter and spices saturate this roasted chicken from the inside out, making it super juicy and flavorful.
This is the only way I cook chicken ever since I found this recipe. It's super easy and the taste is fantastic. My husband and 4 kids want it over rotisserie chicken every time! I drizzle a little olive oil on top (instead of using butter in and around the chicken) then sprinkle on the seasonings and salt. I like to experiment with different spices. It always comes out great. I also cook mine for about 2 hours. My oven takes a little longer to cook. Always a winner of a meal. Thank you ROBINROCKINGBIRD!
Its true- I made this just as recipe states (except used real butter and had to cook half an hour longer) ---everyone said it was delicious, even picky teenagers who fancy themselves food network foodies. I might try it again with margarine - why not?
If I could give this recipe 10 stars I would!!! I just LOVE it! I don't think I'll ever make my whole chicken any other way again. It was so juicy! My family & I are dark meat eaters but w/this recipe even the white meat is juicy. Enough that no one tries to just get the dark meat. Even the picky 11 yr old I have. She'll eat the white meat off this chicken anytime. I've tried making whole chicken many different times w/many different recipes but none have had the success of this recipe. Good til the last bite!!
Ever wish you could get that restaurant-style rotisserie chicken at home? Well, with minimal preparation and about 5 hours' cooking time, you can!
